St. Matthew Passion

Smith Square Hall, London SW1P 3HA

On 20th March 2027 we will perform Bach’s masterpiece, the St Matthew Passion, at Smith Square Hall. We’re delighted to be collaborating with Istante Collective, a young and widely respected group on today’s Baroque orchestra scene. Nicholas Mulroy, regarded as one of the finest Evangelists of his generation, will be joining us – and we are thrilled that Jacques Imbrailo will be singing the part of Christus. They will be joined on stage by four further outstanding soloists for the arias: Emma Walshe (soprano), Will Prior (countertenor), Archie Inns (tenor) and Tom Butler (bass).

This promises to be a very exciting project and will mark the 300th anniversary of the first performance of this extraordinary work in Leipzig.
