Brahms: Fest- und Gedenksprüche

Saturday 10th October at 7.30pm
St. Clement Dane’s Church, Strand, London WC2R 1DH

Our next concert journeys through four centuries of sacred choral music, moving from the vibrant polyphony of Monteverdi, Viadana and Schütz to the rich Romantic soundworlds of Brahms, Schubert, Rheinberger and Bruckner. Early Baroque exuberence meets the introspective spirituality of the nineteenth century, culminating in Mendelssohn’s brilliant double choir motet Hora est. Together, these works offer a sweeping portrait of praise, reflection and consolation across time.
